Resources: Drink My Daily Veggies

PPPAs someone who’s bounced from diet to diet before I was able to find something that worked for me, I came out of it knowing kind of what to do on my own. It’s important to get enough fruits and vegetables. It’s important to know the difference between good carbs and bad carbs and furthermore, sugar is a no-no unless it’s natural sugar from fruits and vegetables. I’ve also been told that fruits and veggies should not only be important but taken in moderation - instant confusion but either way I’m doing what I’m ‘told’ so to speak.

Drink My Daily VeggiesSo I came across a daily dietary supplement known as Drink My Daily Veggies. It’s ‘on the go food’ for healthy living. What I found pretty cool about this product is that it’s only 35 calories per serving and it has no added salt, sugar or preservatives. This product was created by the LaneLabs corporation. They create clinically-proven natural supplements, topicals and pharmaceuticals. There are less than 100 employees in the company and sometimes it’s nice to deal with a smaller company than a larger corporation.

Moving back to the supplement though. I thought it was a bit strange to see that it’s actually in powered form. I thought it was going to be something like V8 where everything is already mixed for you. It’s just like having my usual daily bottles crystal light only instead of the fruity flavors, I’m getting my veggies instead. I think it would be interesting to try it. I may go a head get myself the free sample that they’re offering.

Starting to feel a little better

109 words posted on July 20, 2007 | Health

It’s been over a week since I first got sick and while my nose and throat are no longer as bad as it was, I still find myself coughing quite a bit. For the last few days if I don’t make it a point to have at least a sip every 20 minutes I begin hacking up a lung. I’m starting to get sick of drinking all day long and my bladder sure as hell doesn’t like it very much either.

Could anyone recommend anything to help me from coughing so much? Over the counter or home-made is fine with me. I’d greatly appreciate it.

Resources: Med3q

PPP I like to find resources on the internet that are there for the sake of just helping out humanity. When someone says social networking to you, naturally the first thing you think about is some massive site like myspace where people greatly confuse reality with virtual reality.

Today I came across a resource known as med3q. They’re a new social networking site that supports those with chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and much more. Most people have more than one chronic conditions and most diseases are significantly impacted by the changes in diet and lifestyle. Med3q supports these changes. They want doctors and consumers to join the site. They’re promoting a new and realistic way for people to take charge of their own healthcare while the politicians in DC battle out how to go about “helping humanity”.

It’s refreshing to come across a resource like this, I have to say that first and foremost. I have a soft-spot for those who understand the importance of taking control of your own life instead of sitting idly by waiting on someone else to do it for you. You should know by now that when it comes down to it, the only way the government is seriously going to help you out is if you’re willing to fork over some money. They do nothing for free which is why civilians in general won’t help you out either. Coming across a resource where they’re basically telling you to get off your own booty and make it happen is just the resource we need to tap into.

Talk to doctors, talk to people with the same conditions/diseases as you. Get to know how other people are living their lives. Just because you have a disease doesn’t mean you have to stop living, this site is great for getting your spirit back in check and getting you back in action to living a normal and healthy life, even with a chronic disease.

25 pounds lost, even with a slice of pizza!

I enjoyed a slice of pizza, I haven’t tasted it in a very long time and when I walked past the shop on the boardwalk my mouth instantly began to drool and the two miles that I had just walked (most of which was in the rain) made me feel as though I’d earned it. I had one small slice, instead of my usual crystal light I only drank water and I blotted off a lot of the grease as well. After eating I wound up doing an extra two miles to help work it off. I want to think that the heat helped a bit considering how badly I was sweating but hey, I’m fully content either way.

I’m more than likely going to be eating salads for the next couple of days. I’m going to be spoiled on monday with my anniversary dinner. My fiance is taking me to The Olive Garden, no matter how healthy of a meal you ask for unless it’s straight salad you’re bringing in a lot of carbohydrates with the pasta dishes. It’ll be well worth it though, it’s my once-a-year treat that even a diet isn’t going to stop me from.

I am down another couple of pounds, this brings my total weightloss since April up to 25 pounds, I have to update my sidebar when I put up a new theme later. I’ve been designing freebie themes to get up in the Templates section on both this domain and a few others. I should have those up soon.

Score Learning Centers

I know I’ve posted quite a bit about this company in the past but that’s based on the fact that I support anyone who is going out of their way to help children in need. I’m not talking in regards to food/shelter, I’m talking in regards to education. Score Learning centers help children ages 4-14 make significant academic progress in an innovative tutoring environment. They help students from kindergarten to 8th grade on the topic of math, English and reading. Many students really should have an innovative tutor at their side and it’s unfortunate that not many can get it. I know for sure that I’ll offer one to my children when they’re old enough to start. Based on how Sean and I are, I’m sure they’ll be rather intelligent but this doesn’t mean that I’m not going to give them that little bit of extra help when they’re just starting out. Heck, maybe they’ll do well enough to the point of not only being an active child but come senior year colleges are throwing scholarships in their direction! That would be great.
