I just came across a really cool site that all foodies would absolutely love! It’s called KeyIngredient.com and it’s a digital Food Recipe database where you can find all of your favorite foods made many different ways. I signed up and posted the recipe that I’ve fallen in love with this week. It’s Gillian McKeith’s Shepherd’s Pie. With everyone you post you can pick up a really cool widget to publish it to your blog. I think I’m going to go through my arsenal of recipes and post them all through keyingredient.com so I can easily display them on this blog for all of you.
On a side note, I’d like to say thank you for all of the “Congrats” that I received from my previous post. I didn’t get many comments on the site but I did get quite a few emails asking the “How’d you do it?” question. Eating healthy and stepping up on the exercise are all you really need to do. Dieting is hard but it’s not as evil as everyone thinks it is.
I’ve learned to fall in love with the right foods, and fall out of love with the wrong ones. By cutting out all of the saturated fats, sugars and high carbohydrates - you can really make a difference in not only your physical appearance but how you feel on the inside as well.
I hope to be able to use keyingredient.com to get in touch with many other dieters and food-lovers in general so I can find the best recipes and learn to love the right foods even more.
I’ve only been a member for about a half hour or so (at the time of posting this) but in that time I was able to search for quite a few different tips, tricks and techniques that could really make anyone shine in a healthy kitchen with simple and tasty ingredients.
As I go through the database I’ll share a few more recipes as I try them. This could be a huge addition to the site with just these widgets alone. I’ll still continue to post my own recipes in the regular format though. I’m working on setting up a hack for the blog where you can convert my food related posts to a print-friendly format. That should work out pretty well too.
