Weight loss and water beds?
I’m happy to say that I’m down another 3 pounds, this puts my complete weight loss total at 33 pounds. I’m getting so close to my 200lb goal that I can almost taste it. I’m also tasting some turkey at the moment because for some reason I went ahead and had an early Thanksgiving, I’ve been cooking all damn day. I probably wound up doing more sweating in the kitchen then I did on my mile walk in the heat this morning. It was worth it though, plenty of left overs and I’m still working hard on maintaining portion control. It’s weird, after 22 years of eating anything you want with no real structure behind it, it’s strange to be able to stop myself from over eating. I’m happy either way, 27 more pounds to go!
Sean and I are still house hunting and now his new thing is investing in a waterbed. I think it’s a crazy idea but I’m also factoring in that the reason I loathe waterbeds is the fact that I felt I was always too fat to really sleep on one. Then I thought back to a few years ago. An ex boyfriend of mine was never comfortable in a standard bed so he invested in one of those massive king sized waterbeds and it never caused him any trouble. This guy was over 450lbs, easily. I think he’s only gotten bigger since then but when you don’t have a job, never leave the house and spend all of your time in front of a computer with food surrounding you that’s never going to change. I wish him well but at this rate he more than likely won’t be around for long.
Maybe if I can get Sean on my diet he’ll be able to lose some more weight, he’s turning into a work-out fanatic but all he’s really doing is working off that days calorie intake and not going beyond that and working out the previous 22 years worth of calorie intake with it. Time to be extra convincing!
Another five pounds gone!
In order to give people a sneak-peak of what I’ve been up to, I’ve uploaded one of the free templates I’ll be offering when I finally get around to launching the themes section. This template, when completed, will be available in all of the colors on the rainbow and more. So far I’ve completed the red, orange, yellow, green and blue templates - I’ll have the rest completed sometime over the course of the next week. The sidebar is completely widget powered. I need to alter that for my own personal usage so I’ll have my blogrolling based links up and running as soon as possible!
I did quite a bit of walking in the last few days, and since I’m cutting back on spending I’ve done a bit less eating as well. I’m down another 5 pounds which brings me 25lb weight loss down to 30. I’m only 30lbs away from dropping under the 200lb mark, a place I haven’t been since high school. ::jumps for joy::
With all of the money I’m saving on food, I’m putting some aside so I can buy some new clothes. Mine are falling off me, I’ve switched over to pants with elastic bands instead of my usual pair of jeans. I can finally say that I own a pair of fat jeans, I just can’t hold them up with pride just yet…heh.

Food,
Verts
As someone who’s bounced from diet to diet before I was able to find something that worked for me, I came out of it knowing kind of what to do on my own. It’s important to get enough fruits and vegetables. It’s important to know the difference between good carbs and bad carbs and furthermore, sugar is a no-no unless it’s natural sugar from fruits and vegetables. I’ve also been told that fruits and veggies should not only be important but taken in moderation - instant confusion but either way I’m doing what I’m ‘told’ so to speak.
So I came across a daily dietary supplement known as Drink My Daily Veggies. It’s ‘on the go food’ for healthy living. What I found pretty cool about this product is that it’s only 35 calories per serving and it has no added salt, sugar or preservatives. This product was created by the LaneLabs corporation. They create clinically-proven natural supplements, topicals and pharmaceuticals. There are less than 100 employees in the company and sometimes it’s nice to deal with a smaller company than a larger corporation.
Moving back to the supplement though. I thought it was a bit strange to see that it’s actually in powered form. I thought it was going to be something like V8 where everything is already mixed for you. It’s just like having my usual daily bottles crystal light only instead of the fruity flavors, I’m getting my veggies instead. I think it would be interesting to try it. I may go a head get myself the free sample that they’re offering.
25 pounds lost, even with a slice of pizza!
I enjoyed a slice of pizza, I haven’t tasted it in a very long time and when I walked past the shop on the boardwalk my mouth instantly began to drool and the two miles that I had just walked (most of which was in the rain) made me feel as though I’d earned it. I had one small slice, instead of my usual crystal light I only drank water and I blotted off a lot of the grease as well. After eating I wound up doing an extra two miles to help work it off. I want to think that the heat helped a bit considering how badly I was sweating but hey, I’m fully content either way.
I’m more than likely going to be eating salads for the next couple of days. I’m going to be spoiled on monday with my anniversary dinner. My fiance is taking me to The Olive Garden, no matter how healthy of a meal you ask for unless it’s straight salad you’re bringing in a lot of carbohydrates with the pasta dishes. It’ll be well worth it though, it’s my once-a-year treat that even a diet isn’t going to stop me from.
I am down another couple of pounds, this brings my total weightloss since April up to 25 pounds, I have to update my sidebar when I put up a new theme later. I’ve been designing freebie themes to get up in the Templates section on both this domain and a few others. I should have those up soon.
I don’t know where to go!
I’m still spending countless hours searching for colleges that offer everything I’m looking for, including the option for home based schooling. There aren’t any schools in Delaware, campus wise, that currently offer what I’m looking to accomplish in earning my bachelors in multimedia and web design. It would be nice if there was one, because at least I could just travel up to it. Since that option isn’t available, however, I’ve even looked into schools in Maryland which is only about a half hour away from me - even that is causing me to come up empty handed.
I was really hoping that AIU was going to give me what I was looking for, but it won’t and I refuse to build up scholarships and loans only to have them cashed by a school that isn’t going to send me ANY of my course materials and deny they even received the payment. I was also considering Westwood Online because a friend of mine currently goes there but even they have 70-80 strikes against them and even then that’s only out of the people who are AWARE of ripoffreport.com.
This has kind of put a damper on my diet. I lack concentration on keeping track of what goes in my mouth. I know that sounds horrible, but it’s true. I’m not calorie counting, even with portion control, I’m just eating whenever I take a break from searching, calling, requesting information, and ripping my hair out in general.
It’s kind of annoying at this point…
